About me

Where curiosity meets consciousness, and every discovery becomes a doorway to deeper understanding. I am a passionate researcher driven by curiosity that connects both mind and soul. From the smallest droplet to the vast cosmos, we are all part of a single source of energy, and every discovery opens doors to deeper understanding of the universe.

During my PhD at IIT Madras, I focused on fluid dynamics, specializing in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), heat transfer, and machine learning applications. Using tools like OpenFOAM, Python, MATLAB, and C++, I translate nature’s complexities into clear mathematical insights. I’m proud to have discovered a new scaling law in surface tension-driven flows, showcasing how theory, simulation, and hands-on experiments can reveal hidden patterns, and the patterns are the universe's fingerprints. The perfect trinity of understanding: Theory gives you the map, simulations show you the terrain, but experiments let you feel the ground beneath your feet. Every challenge I face leads to exciting breakthroughs when my experimental results match theoretical predictions. Mathematics became my compass for solving nonlinear equations analytically, helping me find correlations between abstract formulas and physical reality.

Currently, I'm involved in DST-funded projects aimed at advancing defense applications and heat pipe technologies, making a meaningful impact. Outside the lab, I explore life’s adventures, whether it’s trying new strategies on the badminton court or experimenting in the kitchen. My travels across India have deepened my understanding of how diversity and unity coexist, similar to the complex flows I study. I even find it fascinating to consider how consciousness might flow through neural networks.

Open-source collaboration excites me because the best discoveries happen when trained minds share freely, building upon each other's work to create something greater than the sum of its parts. Ready to explore the unknown together? I'm always excited to connect with fellow seekers – whether you're passionate about CFD simulations, theoretical modeling of pheonmena related with heat transfer and fluid dynamics and experiments. I'm actively seeking collaborations in convection, radiation, fuel cells, and machine learning applications in fluid dynamics, also. Drop me a line at chitransh.atre@gmail.com :– let's see what mysteries we can unravel and what new patterns we can discover together.
